Fuga: Melodies of Steel Achieves 150,000 Downloads Worldwide

Developer CyberConnect2 has announced that their tactical RPG, Fuga: Melodies of Steel, has achieved over 150,000 downloads worldwide. A celebratory illustration by the company’s Itsuki Hoshi was shared for the occasion.

The wording here is worth noting since this number likely heavily relies on the Game Pass downloads rather than purchases by themselves. You can view the new artwork by Hoshi below:

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Windows Store, and Epic) on May 11, 2023. Xbox Game Pass users will also be able to play the game as part of their subscription plan.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 takes place one year after the previous game. Though the children had celebrated their victory, the war didn’t end. Half of the original crew is trapped within the Taranis, and it goes on a rampage spreading destruction. Now the ones left behind will join Vanilla, the daughter of Gasco, and board its counterpart, the tank Tarascus to avoid even more tragedy and save their friends.

Gameplay follows the same structure as turn-based battles. Players can allocate the characters for each cannon, using their skills and type advantages to make the most out of fighting. Gameplay is enhanced with more strategic options for battles, map traversal, and a much more nuanced and detailed choice system called Judgment. Depending on the player’s actions, Malt will gain empathy and resolution points, which may affect how events play out.
