Front Mission 1st: Remake Receives Screenshots and Details for Summer 2022 Switch Release

Square Enix and Forever Entertainment released a few new details about the recently announced Front Mission 1st: Remakein development for Nintendo Switch for a Summer 2022 release.

Currently, the game is a Switch exclusive, with no other platforms announced at this time. The publisher confirmed that this is a full remake of the first game. This version will feature a Modern Mode with improved controls and a full reorchestrated soundtrack.

The game’s narrative is as follows:

In the year 2090, the world’s conflicts are fought using giant war machines called Wanzers. Huffman Island, the only place where the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) and the Unified Continental States (U.C.S.) share a land border is a hotbed of conflict.

The publisher has also confirmed that Front Mission 2 will also receive the remastered treatment with more information coming at a later date.
