Front Mission 1st: Remake Reveals Physical Switch Release Set for Spring 2023

Microids announced they will produce a physical limited edition run of the Forever Entertainment-developed Front Mission 1st: Remake.

The limited edition will ship in Spring 2023, but pre-orders are open now.

The limited edition contains:

  • The game Front Mission 1st Remake on Nintendo Switch
  • An exclusive lenticular
  • A printed game manual
  • 2 lithographs

Currently, the limited edition is only available for pre-order in select European regions and the UK. However, the publisher did confirm the physical release will be available in North America in Summer 2023.

Currently, Front Mission 1st: Remake is a Switch exclusive, with no other platforms announced at this time. This is boasted as a full remake of the first entry of the series. This version also features a Modern Mode with improved controls and a fully reorchestrated soundtrack.

The game’s narrative is as follows:

In the year 2090, the world’s conflicts are fought using giant war machines called Wanzers. Huffman Island, the only place where the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) and the Unified Continental States (U.C.S.) share a land border is a hotbed of conflict.
