UPDATE: Front Mission 1st: Remake Coming to Switch Later This Month; Gameplay Trailer Available
Square Enix and Forever Entertainment announced that Front Mission 1st: Remake will release on Nintendo Switch on November 30, 2022. Pre-orders start on November 16, and until November 30, there is a 10% pre-order discount. Additionally, there is an Owner Discount of 15%.
Further, the publisher revealed the gameplay will finally be premiered tomorrow on their YouTube Channel, November 3rd, at 2:00 pm (CEST).
Currently, the game is a Switch exclusive, with no other platforms announced at this time. The publisher confirmed that this is a full remake of the first game. This version will feature a Modern Mode with improved controls and a fully reorchestrated soundtrack.
The game’s narrative is as follows:
In the year 2090, the world’s conflicts are fought u
sing giant war machines called Wanzers. Huffman Island, the only place where the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) and the Unified Continental States (U.C.S.) share a land border is a hotbed of conflict.
The publisher has also confirmed that Front Mission 2 will also receive the remastered treatment, with more information coming at a later date.
