Forever Entertainment has announced that Front Mission 1st: Remake will receive a free content update in 2024 titled Mercenaries. Fans can anticipate new single-player scenarios comprised of new challenges with new terrain styles enclosed within new stories.
Additionally, local multiplayer with hot-seat functionality will arrive on new maps. Lastly, new mercenaries and a new commander character will join the playable fray.
Front Mission 1st: Remake is set in 2090; humans battle in large-scale conflicts utilizing mechs called Wanzers. One particular conflict occurs at the locale where the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) and the Unified Continental States (U.C.S.) share a land border, Huffman Island.
Players witness the story of the military-discharged Royd Clive as he tries to discover what happened to his vanished fiance, Lieutenant Karen Meure, following a U.C.S. Wanzer ambush.
