Front Mission 1st: Remake Announced; Coming This Summer

During the first Nintendo Direct of 2022, Nintendo revealed an upcoming pair of remakes of the first two Front Mission titles, originally released for the Super Famicom in 1995 and 1997.

This is particularly notable as the first-ever official localization for Front Mission 2 in any capacity, as while the first game was eventually released in North America via a Nintendo DS port in 2008, the second has never seen any kind of release outside of Japan. These remakes, with the first one announced to be arriving in summer 2022, are the first “traditional” entries in the series since Front Mission 5, which was released only in Japan in 2005 for the PlayStation 2.
