FromSoftware Reveals Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon in Cinematic Trailer

During the Game Awards 2022, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware decided to announce they will release a new Armored Core, Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon, in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam in 2023.

Armored Core first release in 1997 and stretches across various numbered entries and spin-offs. The series has been dormant since 2013, but that all ends now.

New details have players move through massive 3D environments with mech maneuverability. FromSoftware brings their crafted game design, which features challenging battles along with “fulfilling progression.” Further, ” Players will recognize the sense of satisfaction and achievement when they overcome a difficult situation and relish momentary victory, and perhaps a boost to their standing, before encountering the next challenge.”

The details also share that the game will introduce “g groundbreaking gameplay found in the developer’s recent action games” and “combine these elements into thrilling action that only mechas can provide.”

During gameplay, players are able to modify and customize mechs to fight against other powerful mech enemies. However, this game seems to have a bigger emphasis on narrative.
