Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town Coming to PS4 and Xbox One This Fall
XSEED announced they will bring Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Fall.
Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town was initially released on the GameBoy Advance, then re-released on the Switch and PC as a remastered port. During the Future Games stream at E3, the publisher showed off a trailer announcing that it will now be headed to the new consoles.
This would mark the first time in years that the franchise has ever released on a console outside of Nintendo. This may introduce the series to new players.
This will be a straight re-release of the Switch version, but getting trophies and achievements could give people more than enough reason to come back to it when it launches in Fall 2021.
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is a remake of the 2003 Game Boy Advance title of the same name. The game is being labeled as a complete remake of the original, which will include everything fans loved about that release as well as some new quality-of-life features.
During gameplay, players will grow crops, take care of their animals, and build relationships with the villagers. The game retains much of its retro 3D appeal, along with character illustrations for characters during dialog. In this entry, players will be able to participate in a same-sex marriage, which is a feature that has been requested by fans for quite some time.
