Freedom Planet 2 is Getting a Console Release; Playable During PAX West 2023
XSEED announced they will publish the GalaxyTrail-developed action platformer Freedom Planet 2 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch later in 2023.
More news about the physical release and the contents of the physical edition will be released soon. The game will be playable during PAX West 2023 at the XSEED Booth.
Freedom Planet 2 has players explore the realm of Avalice. Following the events of Freedom Planet, the trio of familiar protagonists has honed their distinct abilities, enhancing their prowess significantly. Players can now take full advantage of Lilac’s swiftness through her Dragon Boost, discover new heights using Carol’s Jump Disc or motorcycle, or opt for a more tactical approach with Milla’s shield.
Adding to the mix is the new playable character Neera, who wields her Frost Arts to take out enemies. In line with its forerunner, this dynamic combat-oriented platformer empowers you to approach each stage according to your preferences. Skillfully blending velocity and exploration and featuring enhanced character sprites within its 2D visuals, Freedom Planet 2 builds upon the elements that transformed the original into a contemporary classic.
We’ll keep you updated on the development and release of Freedom Planet 2. The game is currently available on PC via Steam.
