Free SIFU Update Adds Gameplay Modifiers and Scoring System
Sloclap revealed a new update coming to their Kung Fu action game, Sifu, launching on August 31, 2022, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
The update includes a brand-new gameplay modifier where players can lower the difficulty to get through the game with ease with infinite health and unbreak weapons. However, players can also increase the difficulty where enemies will ignore a player’s guard, prevent them from picking up weapons, etc. Players who want a true challenge can make their own “hardcore” runs by making enemies even stronger, reducing their character to a single hit point, and removing aging as well as guarding.
A scoring system has been added where players can improve their rank across each run. Further, new outfits are available. Accessed in the Wuguan, the Enforcer armor, a set that covers Sifu’s protagonist in a suit of tactical equipment, will be made available to owners of the game’s deluxe edition. All players will be able to access the second outfit, Master Hand. Featuring a sleek trench coat and a stylish hat, players will be challenged to avoid every incoming attack if they want to keep their look intact.
The gameplay follows the life of the fighter who lives his life taking down those who wronged him. Players will hunt down enemies across multiple areas and rid them of the suburbs. Players also need to use their environment to take down enemies and utilize various styles to survive encounters. The game adds challenge by having enemies gang up on the player character as they fight.
To overcome the odds that are heavily stacked against you, you’ll need to rely on your mastery of Kung Fu, and on a magical pendant that will revive you after death. The cost of magic is dear, however, and you will age significantly every time you come back to life: time is the price you will pay for your revenge.
