Psychological Thriller ‘Fort Solis’ Gets August Release Date in New Gameplay Trailer

Dear Villagers announced that the Fallen Leaf-developed psychological thrill Fort Solis will launch on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on August 22, 2023.

“With Fort Solis we wanted the setting to be a character,” said James Tinsdale, Game Director at Fallen Leaf. “Sci-fi horror is host to many of cinema’s greatest, most chilling settings. Like Alien’s Nostromo or Solaris’ titular vessel, we wanted Fort Solis to create its own hostile tone, a derelict mining station barraged by a sand storm. The environments in Fort Solis are integral to the story we’re telling, so bringing it to life was among our top priorities.”

Fort Solis features characters voiced by Troy Baker, Roger Clark, and Julia Brown. This psychological thriller puts players in a remote base on Mars to get through one long night. Throughout this third-person experience, players will explore the barren red planet on a mission to discover the whereabouts of a missing crew. As the night progress, new areas open up, such as stunned and corridors of mining facilities which are home to a strange mystery.

Players assume the role of Jack, who arrives at Fort Solis. A storm is set to hit the base, so he takes cover in the base. As night approaches, events escalate, spiral out of control, and the mystery of what happened to the crew begins to unravel. Now, Jack must survive the night.

Fort Solis is meant to immerse the player through the atmosphere and sound design. Collectibles can also be found containing clues to the narrative, along with audio logs with deeper insight into the situation.
