SolidCore Games has pushed out a new update for the Floralis demo on PC via Steam, focusing on refining the game’s early levels with visual upgrades, interaction tweaks, and gameplay adjustments. The updated demo is available now on Steam. A closed playtest is planned for the near future.
The update revisits every scene in the opening chapters to make the world feel denser and more atmospheric. New environmental assets like scattered shelves, glowing plants, and broken planks add more detail to the overgrown ruins you explore. The team also adjusted level layouts and pacing to improve flow through these early sections.
Lighting and color grading have been reworked to give scenes more depth and mood, especially in darker moments. It’s a subtle shift that sharpens the tone. More interactive objects have been added, not for solving puzzles but to give the space a sense of physicality, as if you’re poking around a place you’re not supposed to be in.
On the gameplay side, character animations have been reworked, object interaction feels smoother, and camera movement has been cleaned up. Audio improvements include ambient background layers, updated sound effects, and better reverb handling. Predatory plant AI has also been tuned to behave more intelligently and react faster, raising the tension during stealth moments.
Floralis is a puzzle platformer with a narrative focus, where you play as one of two sisters grown from the same tree in a jungle filled with hostile plant life. The game mixes exploration, stealth, and environmental puzzles across a four-to-five-hour story. Puzzles offer multiple solutions and reward experimentation, with hidden cutscenes and secrets tucked throughout.
