Action RPG ‘Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn’ Shares Gameplay Trailer & Director Commentary

A44 Games and Kepler Interactive have shared a new gameplay video for their upcoming action RPG Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. Throughout this new video, the former company’s CEO and Creative Director Derek Bradley provides a brief summation of the world prospective players will find themselves inhabiting.

The ‘Flintlock’ genre comprises history versus fantasy, and gods versus guns, essentially a clash of seemingly oppositional facets. This game aims to provide players with a world that strives to be intricately unique despite the presentative similarities to classic action games that solely looking at it may suggest.

In this gunpowder fantasy world, the gods have returned despite having been thought to have previously abandoned humanity. However, they have opened the door to the afterlife, initiating endless chaos with an army of the undead.

The protagonist, Nor Vanek, is a final remaining beacon of hope for humanity, utilizing magic, her fox companion Enki, and a thirst for vengeance. Players can look forward to a skill tree, a caravan system, and more.

Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn is releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Day 1 Game Pass availability, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in early 2023.
