F.I.S.T. Forged In Shadow Shows 19-Minutes of Gameplay Running on PS5

IGN and Bilibili shared 19-minutes of gameplay from the TiGames-developed Metroidvania-action game F.I.S.T. Forged In Shadow Torch, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC-via Steam on September 7, 2021.

F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch takes place when the Machine Legion invaded and colonized Torch City, which was initially inhabited by animals. That was six years ago, and now, Rayton, a former soldier in the resistance war, lives in seclusion. Then, one day, his friend was arrested, and Rayon decided that it’s time to put back on his mechanical fist and hops back into the fight. Get it, because he’s a rabbit?

Gameplay in F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch features arcade-style combat with access to three unique weapons, the First, Drill, and Whip. Each weapon allows players to tackle whatever situation they encounter. The combo system will improve throughout the game to include new attacks, but survival is based on learning enemy attacks and patterns.

The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 4, which allowed the developers to open the world and give players a chance to explore more of Torch City. Most of the gameplay revolves around action, so we’re eager to see how it all comes together.
