Fishing Star World Tour Gets Western Release Date on Switch

Aksys Games announced that the WFS developed fishing arcade sim, Fishing Star World Tour, will launch on Nintendo Switch on September 26.

Fishing Star World Tour allows players to catch over 180 different kinds of fish across 40 different locations around the world. The game features mechanics that will resonate with fishing experts but also presents it in an arcade-like way to make it accessible and fun in the family setting.

During the game, players will need to complete objectives and track different kinds of fish using their “Fish Book”. Along the way to accomplish their goal, players will be able to customize their gear, including their Lure, Reel, and Rod, which each has its own unique stats that can improve performance. Every fish that is caught will appear in the Fish Book along with the gear used and location found.

Additionally, Fishing Star World Tour will support Nintendo Labo Toy-Con Fishing Rod to get that immersion that they require. There’s also a trolling mini-game that challenges players to catch the biggest first while riding a speeding vessel.

The publisher released a new trailer for the game, but it’s of the Japanese version. Regardless, it gives a nice idea of what players can expect during gameplay.
