Thunderful Publishing has revealed the launch trailer for the Dejima-developed firefighting game Firegirl: Hack’ n Splash Rescue. This brief minute-long trailer provides a brief overview of the environments and gameplay obstacles players will have to prevail against.
Julien Ribassin, founder of Dejima, shared the following statement regarding this game’s upcoming PC release:
“We’re just a week away from the PC launch of Firegirl, myself and the team at Dejima Games are so excited for players to hack, splash and rescue their way through the game. Our goal was that Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash Rescue combines awesome platforming, a stunning handcrafted pixel-art style and the thrill of time-based missions to keep players guessing. If we’ve managed to hit the mark, we hope our game makes a real splash!”

Firegirl: Hack’ n Splash Rescue has players take on the role of a firefighter who is tasked with running a local fire station. To improve the station, players will set out, fight fires, and grow the staff. Each staff member added brings some kind of bonus to the station to improve the next venture out into the flames.
Stages occur across multiple areas, but they are procedurally generated to provide an arcade-like experience to players as they work their way through a burning building. You have 3 minutes to clear the building of civilians, but in that time, you have to be conscious of your water supply and health. Dying in a fire still rewards you with some points, but the idea is to get out with everyone alive.
The title is releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch in 2022. However, the title is releasing for PC via Steam on December 14, 2021.
