Firegirl: Hack’ n Splash Rescue Console Version Delayed With PC Still Releasing This Month
Thunderful Publishing announced that the Dejima-developed firefighting game Firegirl: Hack’ n Splash Rescue will be delayed on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch to 2022.
The publisher confirmed that the game will still launch on PC-via Steam on Dember 14, 2021. The delay will allow the developer time to ensure the game meets the developer’s quality standards.
Firegirl: Hack’ n Splash Rescue has players take on the role of a firefighter who is tasked with running a local fire station. To improve the station, players will set out, fight fires, and grow the staff. Each staff member added brings some kind of bonus to the station to improve the next venture out into the flames.
Stages occur across multiple areas, but they are procedurally generated to provide an arcade-like experience to players as they work their way through a burning building. You have 3 minutes to clear the building of civilians, but in that time, you have to be conscious of your water supply and health. Dying in a fire still rewards you with some points, but the idea is to get out with everyone alive.
