Nintendo have announced that Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, the title exploring the heroic exploits of March, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on December 4, 2020. This will mark the title’s first ever English localization, making it the first time western audiences will be able to experience this historical title en masse.

Players will be able to experience the origins of this title with enhanced features. Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light is available for pre-order on the Nintendo Eshop for $4.99. However, this title will only available for purchase until the end of the franchise’s 30th anniversary on March 31, 2021, the same date that Super Mario 3D All-Stars will be removed from the Nintendo eShop.

The Fire Emblem 30th Anniversary Edition has also been announced for $49.99. This collector’s edition includes a stylized NES box, a replica NES Game Pak art piece with a protective sleeve, a 222-page Legacy of Archanea deluxe hardbound art book and a download code of the game itself. A newly localized NES instruction manual, a fold-out world map, and a Mini Nintendo Power retro collectible also come packaged with this collector’s edition.
