Fire Emblem Engage Wave 2 Launching Today; Wave 4, Fell Xenologue Story Teased

During the February 2023 Nintendo Direct, the company revealed the contents of the incoming Wave 2 of Fire Emblem Engage’s Expansion Pass. Hector, the Emblem of Strength, Soren, the Emblem of Acumen, and Camilla, the  Emblem of Revelation, are confirmed for Wave 2, specifically.

As for Wave 3, Chrom and Robin, the Emblem of Bonds, Veronica, the Emblem of Heroes, shall appear. Further, Wave 4 of the Expansion Pass DLC will feature a new storyline called Fell Xenologue.

Wave 2 is launching for Nintendo Switch later today.

Hector is a character initially introduced in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. He is quite physically powerful and prideful of his upper arm strength. His Synchro Skill will increase the number of counterattacks dealt if the user’s HP is low enough.

Additionally, his Engage weapon is particularly effective against units that are mounted and heavily armored. Further, his Engage Skill enhances Defense and Resistance, while his Engage Attack significantly mitigates enemy actions and increases his own counterattack likelihood.

Soren is a character initially introduced in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. He’s a level-headed strategist whose Synchro Skill makes a selected ally more susceptible to enemy unit attacks.

His Engage weapon boasts exceptional range, and his Engage Skill lowers opposing units’ Resistance when attacking via magical skills. Health will also be recovered based on the damage dealt. Lastly, his Engage Attack decimates foes over a wide radius with a variety of elemental spells.

Camilla is a character initially introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. Her Synchro Skill will alter the field tiles depending on the user’s Class, while her weapon has considerable range. Further, her Engage Skill grants the user flight-like movement capabilities, and her Engage Attack leaves lingering flames on certain tiles after attacking across a wide range.

Moreover, Chrom + Robin, and Veronica, will join as Emblems in Wave 3 of the Expansion Pass:

The following cosmetics will be available in Wave 2 alongside materials, skill books, and weapons:

This game follows the new protagonist Alear after their mother, Lumiere, seemingly perishes and imparts them with the mission of utilizing special rings to bring peace to the world.

These rings summon notable heroes from other Fire Emblem titles, including fan favorites such as Lyn, Corrin, Marth, and Byleth. And aside from granting evident gameplay benefits and alterations, they also converse with the new Engage characters, acting as vehicles for potential growth.
