Fire Emblem Engage Introduces the Suppressed Aggressor, Panette & Endearing Sommie

The official Japanese Fire Emblem Twitter account has been introducing new characters for the recently announced Fire Emblem Engage, alongside sharing new gameplay clips. Today, Sommie and Panette were introduced.

Sommie is an endearing creature who has resided within the Somniel since its ancient days. It appears that petting and taking care of it may lead to fortunate outcomes.

Panette is a royal knight for the region of Solm. Her current attitude is quite graceful and courteous, but she used to be far more aggressive and wild. Fragments of this previous facet of herself are depicted during combat. Her initial Class is Berserker, granting considerable strength.

Sommie has received one cutscene clip, while Panette has gotten one gameplay clip and conversation clip. You can view these brief videos below:

Fire Emblem Engage is releasing for Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023.

This game follows the new protagonist Alear after their mother, Lumiere, seemingly perishes and imparts them with the mission of utilizing special rings to bring peace to the world.

These rings summon notable heroes from other Fire Emblem titles, including fan favorites such as Lyn, Corrin, Marth, and Byleth. And aside from granting evident gameplay benefits and alterations, they also converse with the new Engage characters, acting as vehicles for potential growth.
