Fire Emblem Engage Introduces Kingdom of Elusia & First Princess Ivy

The official  Japanese Fire Emblem Twitter account has been introducing new characters for the recently announced Fire Emblem Engage, alongside sharing new gameplay clips. Recently, a new character, Ivy, has been formally introduced alongside the nation of Elusia.

NOTE: Some names and terms might differ in the official English localization.

The Kingdom of Elusia is a nation in northeastern Elyos that highly focuses on magic and religion. It’s ruled by the Sage King, Hyacinth, who embraces the pursuit of wisdom and knowledge. And, alongside suspicious movements from its people, the citizenry worshipping the Fell Dragon is a common practice here.

Ivy is Elusia’s first princess and the elder sister of Hortensia. Her presence is quite mysterious, and she’s described as stern and stoic. She also appears to be searching for the Emblem Rings.

Ivy has received two gameplay clips; one of combat and another of conversation. You can view these unveiled gameplay clips below:

Fire Emblem Engage is releasing for Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023.

This game follows the new protagonist Alear after their mother, Lumiere, seemingly perishes and imparts them with the mission of utilizing special rings to bring peace to the world.

These rings summon notable heroes from other Fire Emblem titles, including fan favorites such as Lyn, Corrin, Marth, and Byleth. And aside from granting evident gameplay benefits and alterations, they also converse with the new Engage characters, acting as vehicles for potential growth.
