Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Launches Patch 4.56 to Set the Stage for New Shadowbringers Expansion
Square Enix has released the latest patch for Final Fantasy XIV Online: Stormblood today which builds up to the finale of the expansion.
Patch 4.56 add in a handful of new events and features including an 8-player special fight against Yojimbo that debuted during the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2018-2019 Tour. Players who are level 70 Disciples of War and Magic can access it. Additionally, Inspector Extraordinaire Hildibrand returns with new quests along with new beat trip quests featuring the Kojin, Ananta, and Namazu tribes.
The patch will also introduce players to new items and material that can be found in the official patch notes.
More interestingly, the upcoming 4.57 patch will introduce the world visit system, which will allow players to travel to any World within their own data center to meet and play with friends. This is hopes that the community will grow and be more connected as it extends to both the North American and European data centers. This patch will release on April 23 along with the North American data center expansion. From then until May 6, players on the NA data center will be able to transfer their character to another World on any data center for free to ensure they are able to continue their journey in Shadowbringers with their friends.
