Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers Details Patch 5.1 With a NieR Collaboration Trailer

Square Enix announced details for Patch 5.1 coming to Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbrings on October 29.

Patch 5.1 is the first patch available for the newly released expansion and brings with it a few fan-awaited features including. Firstly, it introduces the collaboration with the NieR series by adding YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse alliance raid. This 24-player raid was created by Yosuke Saito and Yoko Taro to make this a collaboration that fans of both series can enjoy.

Additionally, the publisher released a trailer for the patch titled Voy of Virtue, Deeds of Cruelty which gives players a chance to preview some of the upcoming events and adventures that await them in this first major patch of the game.

Producer and Director Naoki Yashida also revealed some new information about the patch in that new scenario will be added with it along with the 24-player alliance raid, “The Copied Factory”, featuring Yosuke Saito and Yoko Taro as gues characters.

There is also a New Game+ mode where players can revisit completed quests, cutscenes, dialog, and battles while keeping their current character and level along with a new dungeon called the Grand Cosmos, compatible with the game’s Trust system. Furthermore, a new Best Tribe quest is available where players enter the Garden of Dreams, Lyhe Mheg for a new questline where they face off against mischief loving pixies.
