Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers Release Patch 5.05 Adding Higher Difficulty and New Content

Square Enix released new details about their upcoming expansion to their popular MMORPG titled Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.

The patch comes not even a month after the released of Shadowbringers and adds new content for players to dive into who might have gotten through the new story content already. Path 5.05 includes a high-level raid titled Eden’s Gate where players can turn up the difficulty to take on a series of high-level boss encounters. There’s also a new treasure hunt dungeon, Dungeons of Lyhe Ghiah, where up to eight players can join together and explore the new instanced dungeon for rare rewards.

Additionally, players will find Phantasmagoria, a new currency obtained by completing quests to purchase gear from for Disciples of War and Magic. Other updates include balance adjustments and crafting updates.

Additionally, the Moonfire Faire seasonal event will return on August 7 full of summer content. By completing event quests, players will be able to receive a variety of different rewards. More details about the event will be revealed soon, we can only hope for bathing suits.
