During the Tokyo Fan Fest 2024 livestream, Square Enix has just revealed a full glimpse at the trailer for the upcoming Dawntrail expansion. The trailer showcases a glimpse at the newly revealed Pictomancer class that will be coming alongside the previously announced Viper. Pictomancer was originally introduced in Final Fantasy VI, and in Final Fantasy XIV, it’s a Ranged DPS that uses a Brush as the main weapon.
Pictomancer won’t require any previous Jobs in order to be unlocked. Furthermore, when you unlock the Job, it will be already be at LV 80, with its starting quest obtainable from Gridania. Pictomancer is a Ranged DPS that uses a Brush as the main weapon.
The new expansion in Dawntrail will take us across the western seas to a land named Tural. Tural is less developed than most countries we have visited, but this doesn’t mean it is uninhabited. The land is ruled by a two-headed Mamool Ja named Gulool Ja Ja. The expansion will focus on a contest for the rights to his throne inside the major city of Tuliyollal. This contest will consist of finding the fabled City of Gold, which will see the Scions racing across Tural in search of it.
Final Fantasy XIV is available on PlayStation 5 and PC, with an Xbox port planned for Spring 2024.
