The next change is regarding the Alliance Raids from the Heavensward, Stormblood and Shadowbringers expansions. The amount of experience points you can receive from those particular Raids has been increased, and this also applies to bonus experience earned during the Duty Roulette.

Furthermore, players can now obtain Allagan Tomestones of Casuality and Comedy in addition to the Allagan Tomestone of Poetics. The amount received varies depending on the difficulty. Bear in mind that the Coils of Bahamut, which is A Realm Reborn’s Alliance Raids, will not have any changes to their rewards.

Next we have changes to the Island Sanctuary system. The maximum sanctuary rank has been raised from 16 to 20. New items, structures, gathering points, and several new item exchanges have been added. Furthermore, players can now obtain Felicitous Favors from inside their Island Sanctuary, allowing you to obtain rewards.

Lastly, to avoid server congestion during the release of Patch 6.5, the developers have stated that multiple field instances will be implemented for several Shadowbringers areas. In particular, Amh Araeng, the Rak’tika Greatwood, and Radz-at-Han will have multiple server instances.

Furthermore, if server congestion causes World Travel to become unavailable, the game will now automatically cancel that World Travel Request, and the estimated travel time will now be displayed when traveling using the “Travel to a Different Data Center” option.

The Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Expansion was announced for Summer 2024.

This time, the new expansion in Dawntrail will take us across the western seas to a land named Tural. Tural is less developed than most countries we have visited, but this doesn’t mean it is uninhabited. The land is ruled by a two-headed Mamool Ja named Gulool Ja Ja.

The expansion will focus on a contest for the rights to his throne inside the major city of Tuliyollal. This contest will consist of finding the fabled City of Gold, which will see the Scions racing across Tural in search of it.

Final Fantasy XIV is currently available via PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (via Steam or via Square Enix’s website). You can view the full patch notes through the Lodestone here.
