Final Fantasy XIV Reveals Patch 5.2 Release Date in New Echoes of a Fallen Star Trailer
Square Enix announced that patch 5.2 for their MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers will launch on February 18.
Details for Patch 5.2 have been detailed by Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida and include a continuation of the Shadowbringers storyline as the Warrior of Darkness and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn await the return home of the Crystal Exarch.
Additionally, players will find a new raid titled Eden’s Verse and a new dungeon titled Anamnesis Anyder. Other updates include in-game adjustments to the job classes and New Game+ as well as ocean fishing and new Beast Tribe quests.
The patch also introduces a new character designed by Tetsuya Nomura named Gaia.
Fans looking forward to more content will be pleased to know that the future Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival dates have also been revealed:
- November 6-7, 2020 – Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2020 in San Diego – San Diego Convention Center
- December 19-20, 2020 – Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2020 in Nagoya – Aichi Sky Expo
- February 20-21, 2021 – Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2021 in London – ExCeL London

The publisher released a new trailer titled Echoes of a Fallen Star detailing the update and content that players can expect to find.
