Square Enix has announced that the highly anticipated Oceania data center for their critically acclaimed MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, has now launched alongside patch 6.08. Home World transfers will be available on January 26, with this center’s five new worlds offering benefits for those who choose to do so. Some of the more vital bonuses are listed below:
- Free Home World Transfer for players transferring from another World
- Double EXP for both newly created and transferred characters (up to Level 80)
- Gold and Silver Chocobo Feathers exchangeable for special in-game rewards
Additionally, an official map has been released, depicting Australia and New Zealand in XIV’s in-game world. Notable landmarks and cities are labeled. This detailed map is viewable below:
Moreover, thanks to the opening of the Oceania data center, Square Enix has decided to resume sales of Final Fantasy XIV Starter Edition and Complete Edition. However, Free Trial registrations are still currently suspended until operations become smoother and more cohesive.
