Final Fantasy XIV Launches 5.25 Update With Quest Written By Final Fantasy Tactics Director Yasumi Matsuno

Square Enix announced that patch 5.25 for their MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is available now with a new quest series titled Save the Queen.

The update adds additional content to the game for crafter and gatherers along with new battle content tied to the new weapon enhancement quest series. The also new Resistance Weapon Enhancement quest series Save the Queen: Blades of Gunnhildr, written by Final Fantasy Tactics director Yasumi Matsuno, takes players on an adventure to obtain powerful weapons and learn more about the Hrothgar homeland. The quest series will receive regular updates in the future patches as players experience new Resistance Weapon Quest Battles consisting of multiple boss fights, with progress being saved as you advance.

Additionally, there’s a new extreme difficulty trial for players to attempt. As for the crafter and gatherer content, players can take on a new questline, which allows Disciples of the Land and Hand to upgrade their Skysteel Tools into more powerful versions. His questline will also receive subsequent updates in future patches, allowing players to further enhance these tools.

Lastly, there’s a seasonal holiday even through April 13, where players can earn a bunny costume.
