Final Fantasy XIV Developers Reflect on NieR Crossover Event in New Developer Interview Video
Square Enix released a new video for Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, which focuses on the collaboration between the MMORPG and the NieR series.
The developer diary is hosted by:
- Naoki Yoshida – Producer and Director, Final Fantasy XIV Online
- Yosuke Saito – Producer, NieR Series
- YOKO TARO – Director, NieR Series
The team talks a little more casually about how the crossover happened in the first place and the design decisions that were more. The story contains a trade that also hints at what’s to come in the story and is full of lore that fans can discover.
The series will have five more installments that provide an in-depth look at the development of Final Fantasy XIV. This series will include several key developers who will share their behind-the-scenes stories.
Last week, Patch 5.3 includes the second chapter of the story, The Puppet’s Bunker, which launched as part of the Patch 5. 3 update, Reflections in Crystal. The team will role out the story with new content over time.
