Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Owners Can Now Play Heavensward Expansion for Free for a Limited Time

Square Enix announced that owners of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn can now dive into the content of Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward for free for a limited time so that they might be more interested in diving into Stormblood before the most recent expansion, Shadowbringers, releases.

From now until June 27, players will have access to new areas, flying mounts, and three additional job classes, (Dark Knight, Astrologian, and Machinist as well as a new playable race, Au Ra.

Originally released in 2015, Heavensward picks up after the events of A Realm Reborn. The story follows the Warrior of Light as he heads to Ishgard. Players who take advantage of this free trial can also take advantage of the additional content that was introduced throughout the Heavensward patches, including new dungeons, trials, raids, and quests.

The newest expansion announced, Shadowbringers will launch on July 2 and will expand on the events that took place in Stormblood. This free trial coincides with the ongoing Free Login Campaign, which allows lapsed players to play for free for up to seven days until the campaign ends on June 17.

Will have more information on the upcoming expansion soon, but for now, if you haven’t played Heavensward yet, this is the perfect time to do so.

Final Fantasy XIV Online is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.
