Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Proves Squall is the Best Looking Guy at the Party

Square Enix had a bit of fun with fans of Final Fantasy VIII this morning as they revealed a new screenshot from the upcoming Final Fantasy VIII Remastered.

Fans of the title have always made jokes about one scene in particular where Rinoa Heartilly approaches Squall and tells him that he’s the best looking guy in the room. However, upon closer inspection, Squall face appears to be deformed with pixels.

Now, with the remastered version coming, the team has revealed a screenshot of that same scene and zoomed in to show that he is indeed the best looking guy there. Something that I’ve always thought, even with his pixel face.

n Final Fantasy VIII, the military nation of Galbadia has declared war on the Dukedom of Dollet, who must hire the mercenary force, SeeD. Players play as Squall Leonhart, a new member of SeeD, together with his friends and Rinoa Heartilly, a member of a resistance group, who get pulled into the war. It’s from then on, the players embark on an epic quest to save the world.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
