Final Fantasy VII And VIII Remastered Gets English Physical Switch Announcement for Asia

Square Enix Asia announced that fans wanting a physical release of Final Fantasy VII Remastered and Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will get just that, at least on Switch only.

The company announced that both titles will release as the Remastered twin pack, containing both Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII Remastered on one Switch cartridge. It has also been revealed that it will launch in 2019 with English and Japanese support. However, what this means is that western fans who wish to purchase the edition will have to import the game.

Final Fantasy VII Remastered introduces players to the main protagonist named Cloud as he joins a resistance group known as Avalanche who set out to stop the eco killing corporation Shinra. It just so happens that their action leads them to discover much more about the state of the world and themselves as they fight on to save the world.

In Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, the military nation of Galbadia has declared war on the Dukedom of Dollet, who must hire the mercenary force, SeeD. Players play as Squall Leonhart, a new member of SeeD, together with his friends and Rinoa Heartilly, a member of a resistance group, who get pulled into the war. It’s from then on, the players embark on an epic quest to save the world.
