Square Enix has unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Revelation, showcasing more narrative events as well as introducing the Rbuy Weapon, Emerald Weapon, and the Ultimate Weapon across dedicated boss fights. You can even fight via the submarine.
The trailer also shows the Summon Typhon, open-world exploration via parachute, the grappling hook, Choco mounts, and more. Cloud and Tifa are then shown in their Warrior and Black Mage FITs.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation will feature the final battle against Sephiroth as a meteor becomes prominent and planetary guardians carve the world. Players can anticipate taking to the skies with the Highwind alongside a full party that includes playable Vincent and Cid.
Players will be able to drop in via parachute anywhere, seamlessly transitioning from air to land. You’ll need to choose where to go, who to help, and in what order. It will also be possible to customize combat by switching between real-time action and Tactical Mode in the series’ acclaimed hybrid battle system, now expanded with new playable characters. The new FITS system is akin to a Job mechanic from X-2 and Lightning Returns.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation will be released for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows, the Epic Games Store, and Steam in Spring 2027.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will end service on October 6, 2026. The title is available on mobile devices and PC via Steam.
