Final Fantasy VII Remake Gets Part 5 of Making of Series Looking at Graphics and Character Design
Square Enix shared Part 5 of the Inside video that explores the making of Final Fantasy VII Remake, where the developers detail their time creating the game.
This episode takes a look at the graphics and visual effects. The team reflects on how they approached each of the character’s design and where they took inspiration. The team also discusses how they showed emotions in the character’s face to convey their personality or character type, this includes NPCs. Lastly, we get a chance to see early concepts of enemies and summons as well as how they implemented lighting in the game’s environments.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will tell the story of a corrupted world fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as Mako Energy.
In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, and throughout the story, goes on epic adventures with an unforgettable cast of characters.
