Final Fantasy VII Remake Launches Playable Demo Through Mako Reactor 1; Available Now

Square Enix announced that fans waiting for Final Fantasy VII Remake can get a small taste of the game with a playable demo available now on PlayStation 4-via the PSN.

The demo allows players to play through the first Mako Reactor, where the Avalanche goes on a bombing mission. Those who clear the demo before May 11, will receive a PS4 theme when the full game launches.

During the mission, Cloud must make his way through the Reactor with the crew and plant a bomb. On the way there, players can fight a few enemies, but after the bomb is set, the first boss of the game can be encountered.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will tell the story of a corrupted world fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as Mako Energy.

In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, and throughout the story, goes on epic adventures with an unforgettable cast of characters.
