Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Yuffie DLC Could be Better With More Capes
We all saw the reveal of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, the PlayStation 5 upgrade to Final Fantasy VII on PlayStation 4. Aside from updated textures and performance, players can also dive into new story content featuring the Materia thief herself, Yuffie Kisaragi.
In the reveal, we saw that she will be wearing her iconic threads of a green shirt and unbuttoned shorts, but she now also has a really cool Moogle Cape. Sadly, the DLC is tied to the Intergrade version of the game, meaning PS4 players will not be able to enjoy it. This is a pretty big investment for fans, considering they’ll need to purchase a new console to enjoy the added story.
So, I’m here to suggest the Square Enix sweeten the DLC pot a bit with even more features. Yuffie’s story will be around 2 chapters, which could be around 4 – 6 hours of extra content. During that time, I’m proposing that Square Enix introduces us to capes that we can either construct from materials or unlock by completing various missions.
The thing is, the developer is asking a lot from those who have most likely already played through the game, especially after they just purchased a new console. I’m considering this just to be an additional layer of content that could ultimately make the experience visually better.
Aside from her Moogle cape, players could also be able to see her wearing a Cactuar cape or a Chocobo cape. I’d even love if they threw in some crossover Dragon Quest capes in the mix. All I’m saying is that this DLC is bound to be packed with fun side content, but incentives will go along way. Giving players the chance to customize their experience might be a way to have players play the DLC for longer as they unlock new capes. With the added photo mode, there’s really no telling the endless potential for fan-made content.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is coming to PlayStation 5 on June 4, 2021.
