In a Famitsu interview, we learn a bit more about the PlayStation 5 upgrade Final Fantasy VII Intergrade, but more specifically, the Yuffie DLC.
In the interview, we learn the Materia thief will travel to Midgar in search of the Ultimate Materia produced by Shinra Corporation. Her story will be covered in 2 chapters, which are assumed to be about around 2 hours long if it’s anything compared to the full game. Her partner Sonon will join her as they arrive after the Sector 5 Reactor bombing, which was the perfect time for the SHinobi of Wutai to begin their infiltration.
The piece ends the details with “Guided by the calls of the Planet, the gears of a new destiny begin to turn.”
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will also launch as a physical and digital edition. There’s a digital deluxe version that comes with a mini-soundtrack and digital artbook. Also, those who pre-order will receive a Cacstar weapon for Yuffie to use in battle.
As of right now, the story content seems to only be available on PS5, as the publisher states, “Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, the PS5 enhancement update, and the standalone downloadable episode featuring Yuffie will be available for the PS5 console worldwide on June 10, 2021.”
