Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis Shares “The Prelude” Theme
Square Enix has started introducing the soundtrack for their upcoming mobile game Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis. The developer has now shared “The Prelude,” a staple iconic theme used throughout the franchise that all fans, casual or veterans, should be abundantly familiar with. Signaling the start of a new adventure, this tune will greet players when the full game launches next month.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is an ambitious mobile entry that coalesces the compilation of Final Fantasy VII, including the original game, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, Before Crisis, and even Advent Children in playable forms. The gacha comprises new outfits for the cast, adding levity and spiciness to familiar events fans are abundantly knowledgeable about.

We also shared our thoughts on the latest trailer.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the sequel to the first entry in this ongoing Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy effort. Throughout the announcement trailer, players got a tease of the Nibleheim flashback with Cloud and Sephiroth and Zack carrying Cloud, seemingly from either the end of Crisis Core or the end of Remake.
The latest trailer from Summer Games Fest showcased quite a bit more, with a relatively open world, team attacks, Chocobo riding, and fascinating story developments that have truly made this entry diverge from the original game’s timeline. Still, familiar areas like Cosmo Canyon and the Chocobo Farm are also present. Oddly, Square Enix calls this a completely standalone entry, which comes off as too blatantly untrue, even for marketing purposes.
