Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis First Playable Parts Will be Original, Crisis Core & First Soldier; Playable Younger Sephiroth Confirmed
Following yesterday’s new trailer and pre-registration announcement for the upcoming mobile RPG, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, Famitsu interviewed the game’s creative director, Tetsuya Nomura, and producer Shōichi Ichikawa.
This interview is quite lengthy and contains a plethora of new info. However, one of the most substantial pieces of news dropped is what players will first experience when playing Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis.
Firstly, the original Final Fantasy VII will serve as the tutorial, followed by Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and then Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. Regarding the lattermost game, Nomura admitted that the battle royale had a rough lifespan, but its implementation in Ever Crisis has been refocused.
In particular, Sephiroth will be a primary highlight, and Ichikawa confirmed that the short-haired version of the character would be playable during these First Soldier sequences. Just to clarify, the gameplay across all of these adapted games will use the same turn-based systems.
Moreover, Nomura also revealed that this is a Sephiroth before the dark corruption we’re all familiar with, so players will get to see a new, fleshed-out side of the iconic antagonist.
Lastly, the early part of the latest Ever Crisis trailer, which showed Sephiroth trying to contact Genesis by phone, is stated to occur at Fort Tamblin, an early area from Crisis Core.
