Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete Arriving to US Theaters February 2024; Will Feature New Interviews & Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Gameplay

Following the announcement that Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will greet Japanese theaters next year, the same has been revealed for the United States.

According to placeholder listings, the English dub version of the film will arrive on February 21, 2024, while the subtitled version with the Japanese voice-over will arrive on February 22, 2024.

Further, a short film will be shown to those who arrive early, featuring new interviews with the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth development team and the Advent Children team, with gameplay of the former.

The following passage was provided by Atom Tickets

“Additionally, arrive early for a short film featuring new interviews with the FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH development team and ADVENT CHILDREN creators alongside action-packed gameplay from the game, which launches exclusively for PlayStation 5 on Feb. 29, 2024.”

However, it is worth noting that, currently, Square Enix has not officially announced this news.

Previously, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth creative director Tetsuya Nomura stated that the Final Fantasy VII Remake project will “link up” to Advent Children. Of course, we don’t know the particulars of how this will unfold, but it’s worth keeping in mind moving forward. One popular theory posited by many fans is that the Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII Remake is from Advent Children.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the sequel to the first entry in this ongoing Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy effort. This new entry is far more ambitious than the first, set to occur until The Forgotten Capital from the original game.

Players can look forward to playable Cait Sith and Red XIII, with Vincent also revealed, though not extensively. Gold Saucer will be a prominently featured location with plenty of minigames.

Speaking of, the Junon infiltration minigame has been significantly enhanced, with Cloud directing soldiers to form specific compositions. Further, Sephiroth will be playable during the Nibelheim flashback. Combat has undergone a shakeup, with new synergy attacks utilizing multiple party members, and Red XIII has a unique revenge gauge mechanic.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will launch for PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024, on two discs.
