Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster Was a Top-Downloaded PSN Game in the USA & Canada During April 2023

Sony has listed the most downloaded games for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation for the United States and Canada as well as Europe for April 2023. Of course, many titles are fairly expected, such as the remake of Resident Evil 4, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Grand Theft Auto V (as always).

However, one game I was excited to see grace these charts is Final Fantasy VI. This final entry of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster effort was a top-down loaded game in the United States and Canada during April 2023. Unfortunately, precise sales numbers weren’t provided, but it’s neat nonetheless. And of all Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games, it makes complete sense for Final Fantasy VI to sell the most when considering its immense popularity even outside dedicated JRPG circles.

Further regarding the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series sales, they have collectively sold over two million units worldwide across PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and mobile devices.

Fans can utilize a highly-requested new font option, the ability to switch between the original and remastered background music, and several ways to adjust the experience. Specifically, random encounters can be turned off, earned experience and Gil can be amplified, and ABP can be altered. Final Fantasy II also has dedicated boost options to make the experience more accessible.
