It’s always neat to see Final Fantasy Tactics receive representation, even if it is just via merchandise. There have been rumors of the classic strategy title getting a remake or remaster this year, so perhaps this merchandise is signaling that? Well, that’s just speculation. Regardless, we will update this piece once these figures become available on the Square Enix North American digital storefront.
Recently, Square Enix released a new trailer for the upcoming mobile game containing the entirety of the Final Fantasy VII compilation, Ever Crisis. This will be the second ongoing Final Fantasy VII-related mobile game, running alongside The First Soldier.
Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier is a battle royale that takes place in several locations around Midgar. Players are tasked with being the last member of SOLDIER standing and will have a host of abilities to keep them in the fight long enough.
There are several classes to choose from, including Warrior, Sorcerer, or Mong, each with different abilities and skills that prove helpful during tense situations. Players will also need to fight against monsters around the city to gain the necessary experience to level up and unlock new weapons.
Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier also features classic gameplay elements such as ridable Chocobos, espers, and even summon Materia, including Ifrit. Customization options allow players to alter their characters’ outfits and accessories to stand out on the battlefield. Further, there will be ways to obtain weapons and vehicle skins.
