Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Releasing for Switch & PS4 This Month; New Font & Gameplay Features

Square Enix has announced that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series of the first six mainline games will launch for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on April 19, 2023, at 8 AM PT/ 11 AM PT.

Fans can look forward to a highly-requested new font option, the ability to switch between the original and remastered background music, and several ways to adjust the experience. Specifically, random encounters can be turned off, earned experience and Gil can be amplified, and ABP can be altered.

Pre-orders can now be done on the Nintendo Switch eShop for $74.99, with two-themed wallpapers for each individual game granted by May 25, 2023. Alternatively, if one purchases the bundle, all twelve wallpapers are given.

PlayStation Network pre-orders are not yet available, but those who do so between April 20 and May 25, 2023, will receive a theme and avatar for each game in the collection.
