Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Now Available on PS4 & Switch

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, new versions of the first six classic mainline titles, is now available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Fans can utilize a highly-requested new font option, the ability to switch between the original and remastered background music and several ways to adjust the experience. Specifically, random encounters can be turned off, earned experience and Gil can be amplified, and ABP can be altered. Final Fantasy II also has dedicated boost options to make the experience more accessible.

Purchases made via the Nintendo Switch eShop for $74.99 will grant two-themed wallpapers for each individual game by May 25, 2023. Alternatively, if one purchases the bundle, all twelve wallpapers are given.

Further, PSN purchases made until May 25, 2023, will grant a theme and avatar for each game in the collection.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is also available on mobile devices and PC via Steam. Unfortunately, the added content in previous versions of the games, such as the PSP extra dungeons for the first two Final Fantasy titles, are not featured in these releases.
