Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will be updated on August 5 at 7 PM PT/ 10 PM ET, implementing the second chapter of its Before Crisis adaptation, “Turks Offensive.”
According to the roadmap shared alongside confirmation of the game’s closure later this year, there will be only three chapters for Before Crisis, making this a highly condensed adaptation.
For those unaware, Before Crisis was a flip-phone game that was Japan-exclusive, being around the origin point of the Final Fantasy VII Compilation. It focused on a playable character in the Turks and the various machinations that led up to Final Fantasy VII proper.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will end service on October 6, 2026. The title is available on mobile devices and PC via Steam.
