‘Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn’ Anime Special Announced for Final Day of 2022; Simultaneous English & Japanese Dub

A-1 Pictures has announced that a singular television anime special of the Fate franchise light novel, Fate/strange Fake, will be broadcasted on December 31, 2022. Fully titled Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn, both Japanese dub and English dub versions are planned to be released simultaneously. Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume are the revealed directors, with Hiroyuki Sawano as the composer.

Fate/strange Fake is a light novel series that began being penned by Ryohgo Narita in 2015, though its actual origins are an April Fool’s joke from the author in 2008. The narrative follows an imperfectly copied version of the Third Holy Grail War called the False Holy Grail War, comprising several Masters and Servants who are either “True” or “False.”

The currently confirmed staff, Japanese dub, and English dub casts are viewable below. Thanks to prominent Type-MOON community member @KaroshiMyriad for sharing this image.

The Fate/Extra CCC English fan translation has been recently completed, with editing and testing phases remaining.

Witch on the Holy Night is releasing worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on December 8, 2022. This is an enhanced edition of the Type-Moon visual novel released for PC in Japan back in 2012.

Published by Aniplex, this console edition will include voices and higher definition artwork and will also add extra language options for English and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).

The game tells the story of a trio who lives together in an old western mansion on the outskirts of a Japanese town. Rumors say that a witch lives in the place, and they might not be so far-fetched. After all, Aoko Aozaki does study her sorcery in the area under the tutelage of Alice Kuonji.
