‘Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn’ Anime Special Delayed Indefinitely

A-1 Pictures and Type-Moon have announced that the previously revealed Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn anime special has been delayed indefinitely from its initial December 31, 2022 premiere date.

No specific reasons for the postponement were stated besides production issues being a factor, but production materials will air in the anime’s original place. Further, the companies intend to inform fans when concrete plans regarding this anime special’s release have been confirmed.

Fate/strange Fake is a light novel series that began being penned by Ryohgo Narita in 2015, though its actual origins are an April Fool’s joke from the author in 2008. The narrative follows an imperfectly copied version of the Third Holy Grail War called the False Holy Grail War, comprising several Masters and Servants who are either “True” or “False.”
