Fate/Grand Order Brings Summer Back Into Its Spotlight for 2019

It’s that time of year again, when the gacha games bring on the heat. Which means bringing out the swimsuits. And as we all know, the best way to make people spend their hard earned in-game resources, as well as their real money, is to put a .jpg of a character in a bikini behind a roulette.

Let the summer events begin.

Summer events in Fate/Grand Order come in two varieties, a rerun of the last year’s summer event followed by the new event. They’re also run alongside the anniversary gacha to further test your resilience, and your wallet. They tend to feature some pretty popular or highly requested characters. This year the featured servant is Sherlock Holmes, and he’s available for you to try and summon until the July 23. His Noble Phantasm can be seen below.

The individual summer events themselves are also broken up into two parts. If a player is able to clear both they will obtain a permanent copy of the welfare servant and a holy grail. If you missed out on any particular event rewards or were unable to pull your favorite servant’s swimsuit attire last time, now’s your chance to try again. Every character in the following PVs are up for grabs this year.  We haven’t gotten the official information for the next summer event however so the second PV will not be in English. We should receive the information before the first summer event finishes though.

Summer 1:

Mash is depicted in a swimsuit during this event, but doesn’t receive any summer related alt until the next event. Luckily, it’s a costume, so you don’t have to worry about trying to pull her.
