Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Sells Over 120,000 Units Worldwide
Publisher Koei Tecmo has shared their latest financial results for the fiscal year of March 31, 2023, revealing that the latest entry in the Fatal Frame franchise, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, has sold over 120,000 units worldwide.
Congrats to the developer and associated teams for this success, and here’s hoping this series thrives further so we can maybe even receive a brand new entry one day. Thanks to Gematsu for spotting this news.
Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse takes place on a remote island in southern Japan. Ten years after five young girls disappeared during an island festival, three girls travel back to the island to figure out what really happened. Their goal is to solve their friends’ death, but they learning so much more.
The Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Digital Deluxe edition includes the Rogetsu Isle Dinner Party Costume Set, a digital art book, and the soundtrack. Further, those who have played the game on a device that has save data for Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water will receive the “Camera Obscura Hat.”
